Hanoi’s Old Quarter is rarely quiet. Its noisy and manic, a mass of swarming motorbikes, strolling vendors, taxi’s and street side food stalls. For photography it is fantastic and whilst on assignment there last week I took time out from the shoot to photograph some personal work at dusk as the Old Quarter turns from day to night mode. At dusk families venture out to eat. Stalls are set up along the pavements only to be taken down again by policemen in search of a bribe or two. People are returning home from work or venturing in to town for a night out. The place is buzzing. Below are some photographs I took whilst strolling around the streets using just the available light that the streets give off.
