Nagpur’s Cricket Academy

In February I photographed the World Cricket Academy in Nagpur, central India, for Korean Airways’ Morning Calm Magazine. Founded in 2002 by some of India’s most respected and experienced cricket coaches this academy trains players from all over the world especially from India and the UK.

When I visited with writer Sally Howard there was a visiting group of British school kids who every year come here to train when its too cold and wet in the UK and before this part of India reaches its hot summer temperatures of over 40 degrees. Most of these students are country cricket players and some could very well play for their country if they continue to play at such a high standard. What they learn here they will take back to UK and use in the up-coming season.
